Author Visits

As a former teacher in classrooms and outdoor settings, I love working with children. I'd be happy to host a storytime, book signing or classroom presentation on a variety of topics. Let's chat!

My 30-45 minute presentations are fully customizable, engaging, educational, and fun. I'm happy to do an intimate reading with a Q&A and book signing, or dig deeper into a more specific topic. Some of those topics could include:

* Exploring rhythms in language and rhythms in nature. After reading outloud, we'll break down individual words and lines, learning about syllables, stress, meter, and more. Students will then write their own rhyming poems.

*Exploring opposites and similarities. We'll compare and contrast animal traits and characteristics and then students will come up with an animal they would like to be, based on what they have discovered.

*Investigate personality traits of humans and animals. We'll take a personality quiz together and learn a bit more about our own character traits while also learning about animal traits.
